Xencelabs welcomes Felix Gourlaouen, 3D Character and Creature Artist as Artist Spotlight for May!
Felix is a passionate 3D character and creature artist, with Franco-British origins. He has recently won Pixar's RenderMan 2025 Art Challenge and has experience working on commercials, notably on a Lego AEAF award-winning commercial at Glassworks VFX, in London.
With a versatile background as a professional generalist, Felix's expertise spans the entire production pipeline, from environment modeling and layout in a 'cartoon style' to cleaning up scans and sculpting clothing for digital doubles. While his skill set is broad, his true passion lies in character creation, specifically taking a character from initial model to the final, polished finish.
